V. Settings Interface

1. Storage Management

This is where you enable or disable video storage to the cloud and to the TF card, check the total and available capacity of the TF card, or judge whether the camera has read the TF card.

2. Image Flip

This function lets you adjust the image angle when the camera's mounting angle is incorrect.

3. PIR Human Detection

There are three options (low, medium, high) for the detection sensitivity. A higher detection sensitivity corresponds to easier triggering of the detection and to a higher energy consumption. If the camera is insensitive to detection, increase its detection sensitivity; if the camera gives a false alarm, lower its detection sensitivity.

4. Plan a Recording

Users can configure the security cameras to keep recordings for a specified period of time of the week. During the other periods, the camera is in low-power mode and only records after the alarm is triggered.

5. Standby Time

The camera wakes up after detecting a moving object. Once the object has left the detection zone, the camera automatically goes into standby after the defined value. The longer the delay, the higher the energy consumption (faster energy consumption).

6. Sound Alarm

If the detection function is enabled, the camera automatically emits a sound alarm when an object is detected in motion.

7. Time Synchronization

If the time of the camera is not synchronized with that of your mobile phone, tap this button so the application synchronizes it automatically.

8. Firmware Update

This button automatically checks whether the camera firmware is the latest edition. If the edition is lower than expected, a prompt to update the camera firmware is shown.

VI. Cloud Video Interface

UBox app cloud video list (Fig. 15) showing motion-detected recordings by time

On this page, the user can choose the target camera, tap the calendar, choose the target recording date and play videos by tapping them, or select several videos with the selection buttons and download or delete the corresponding cloud videos (Fig. 15).

VII. Common Problems

1. Why does the camera not turn on automatically after the red indicator goes out, even though I press the On/Off button several times?

The battery is low because of too short a charging time. Charge the camera with a 5V charger. The charging time must be at least 8 hours for a 5V/2A camera, or at least 16 hours for a 5V/1A camera. Once the camera is fully charged, the charge LED goes out.

2. Why does the camera consume so much energy and keep sending false alarms to my phone?

It is suggested to install the camera in a place away from moving vehicles, chimneys/smoke, and direct sunlight, to avoid false alarms and PIR detection interference. Another solution is to lower the PIR detection sensitivity on the detection settings page, in order to reduce false alarms and wake time and so save energy.

3. Why can I not see the videos on my mobile phone?

Check and make sure the TF card has been correctly inserted into the camera and formatted on the "Configuration" page of the application on your mobile phone. If the problem persists, format the TF card (FAT32) on a computer or replace it with a new one.

4. Why does my camera not detect or not send alarms? Or why does it miss certain activities in detection?

Check and make sure the camera is installed at a height of about 2.6 m to 3 m, that the detection angle is 15° to 30°, that PIR human detection is enabled on the "Configuration" page, and that the protective film on the lens has been removed; then increase the detection sensitivity.

5. Why does my mobile phone not receive alarms even though the camera can detect people and record videos?

Check and ensure that the bell symbol on the device list page of the application, and all the background authorizations of the application, have been activated; let the application work in the background of the mobile phone.

6. How do I restore the factory settings?

Find the position for inserting the TF card, which is under the head of the camera, open the rubber cover and press and hold the black button by the TF card for about 8 seconds.

7. How do I delete the videos on the TF card?

When the TF card is full, the original recordings it contains are overwritten automatically. To avoid the loss of other files, the device does not support the separate deletion of videos. To manually delete all the videos on the TF card, set up and format the TF card.
